Wow. And you just saw that model that simply? That's fatastic! I'd love to have a crack at painting something like that! Are you going in for handpainted or something more realistic?
Sorry for all the questions; i'm just really taken with this model and your skill level is right where i want to be (translate all of this to sound less fanatical and generally more calm and that's what i call a reply!)
Thank you! I actually gave up modelling to pursue concept art/illustration (haven't been posting too much of that yet). It was supposed to be painted sort of cartoony, world of warcraft-esque. You are totally free to paint the model, it's already unwrapped and rigged (a pretty basic rig). Just send me your email and I'll send you the files. It's in max. Though of course you could send it to Maya and re-skin it.
If you do paint it, you should paint the other model that goes with it, the "Adventurer".
You'll have to get some of the concept/illustration work up ))
Soo-poib; I'd love to have a go! My Getafix project is winding down to a close now and then i can jump straight on it ^^ I got Max with Maya in a bundle when i was at university so i'll give it a go just in Max rather than reskin.
Thanks, the textures will be fairly painterly, they mostly likely (and sadly) won't have normals. So I've got to make sure what I do have is top notch! As for composition...hm, good question! What do you mean exactly? How will it look on the demo real or am I going to add more to the scene?
